Your points are well taken. Again, I would suggest that one is not abe to recover from addiction because addiction is not the problem to be solved. The experience of addiction is one's attempt to solve a quandary, in other words we should be asking people why do they choose to escape themselves at great lengths just to not be thmselves for a few hours? It's OUR obsession with drugs and the dominant concept of addiction that keeps us from decreasing addiction rates and failing at reducing overdose. We are hopelessly fixated on the wrong thing, and at great cost. It's like we keep doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Huh.
